Women's Bible Study Fall 2018

Acts: Relying on the Power of the Spirit – Elizabeth George - Are you living in the Holy Spirit's power? The book of Acts is filled with incredible examples of God's Spirit at work in the lives of His people. As you study along with Elizabeth George, you'll learn about: 1) The Spirit's promises and provision, and what they mean to you 2) Your unique place in God's church and how the Holy Spirit uses you, and 3) Being a blessing to both believers and unbelievers.  As a Christian you have the same commission God gave to the people in Acts. Step out in the Spirit's power...and yield yourself completely to all God wants to do through you.  (8 Sessions)

Sundays with Fellowship Kids Fall 2018

This Fall semester at Fellowship Kids, we will be finishing up our study of 1 Kings, then delving into 2 Kings, Ezra, and Nehemiah. Each lesson will help kids to understand that every story in both the Old and New Testament points to Jesus, our Lord and savior. Throughout December, we will be switching to traditional Advent teachings about the prophecies and birth of Jesus Christ, picking back up in Nehemiah in January 2019. Michael Wood & Elyse Dombrowski

Michael Wood is our Youth Outreach Coordinator at Fellowship Church. Mike grew up in Elmwood Park, Illinois and has lived in Carol Stream for the past 4 years. One of the greatest attributes Mike possesses is his testimony and his heart for meeting students where they're at. He uses his experience and wisdom to reach, teach, connect, and minister to each and every student he comes into contact with.

Mike is passionate about reaching our youth and the youth in the surrounding communities. He has spoken at over 100 schools and to thousands of students sharing his story and testimony. Mike uses his gift of public speaking and his message to impress on the hearts of students coming from many different backgrounds.

Mike is currently engaged and he and his fiancé, Elyse, will be married in March of 2018. His soon-to-be wife has her bachelor's degree in psychology from Illinois State University and her her master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. She currently works as a professional LMFT(Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist). Elyse specializes in working with teens and their parents, as well as entire families. Together they have seen incredible transformation through their lives and also the lives of the students they come in contact with.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16 NIV

Our women's ministry is for women of all ages, and focuses on studying scripture as well as fostering a community of support and encouragement among the women of the church. Fall and Spring Bible study sessions have weekly meetings held in the evenings within the church building, in addition to events throughout the year.

Men meet every other Saturday for the men's breakfast. The meal involves prayer together as well as an in-depth study of systematic theology.

Nursery/Preschool (Ages 0-5)

On Sundays, childcare is available for children ages 0-3 in the basement nursery from a rotating group of volunteer church members. Children aged 3-5 who are not yet in Kindergarten are invited to the preschool class during this time.

Kids (K-5th Grade)

Our Sunday morning children's ministry consists of children's church, which explores the Old and New Testament using a 3 year Beka curriculum. During the Sunday school hour, these lessons are explored more deeply through music, games, and crafts. Children are also welcome to attend AWANA on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM during the school year.

Youth (6th-12th Grade)

Fellowship Youth meets Thursday nights at 6:30. This dynamic program involves high energy games, topical lessons from the Bible, and small group discussion to help youth develop their faith in Jesus Christ.

Young Adults

Late high school and colleges students looking for discipleship and training can join the young adults, meeting Sunday mornings and well as Thursday evenings.

Worship Music

Our stellar worship team is open to both experienced musicians and beginners hoping to serve the Lord through their musical gifts.

Our prayer ministry meets Thursday nights at 7PM, and addresses prayer requests from the church body as well as the local community.

Red Center Food Pantry

Fellowship hosts a food pantry every Tuesday afternoon from 1-5PM, in cooperation with the 501(c)3 Red Center. Produce, meat, bread, and other items are donated from a number of local grocery stores. The Red Center Food Pantry is open to all of the Carol Stream community, no questions asked. Please come if you could use a hand.
